Urban Deer Hunt Program
September 16th 2023 through January 21st 2024
Thank you for your interest in the Polk City Urban Deer Hunting Program. You are an essential part in maintaining a healthy population of deer in our local area. With this program, we have attempted to balance the need for a controlled deer population with the safety concerns of our community. We will do all that we can to ensure that you have a successful, safe and enjoyable hunt.
Contained in the link below is an application for the urban bow hunt, permission forms from local property owners, a copy of the city ordinance, and a brochure outlining the urban deer hunting program. Please complete the applicable forms and return them and all supporting documents to Lt. Aswegan. Once your materials are received and processed, you will be contacted and issued the appropriate tags for your stand.
The 2023 Urban Deer Hunt Program begins September 16th, 2023 through January 21st 2024.
Forms can be dropped off to Lt. Aswegan or emailed to police@polkcityia.gov
