Polk City Friends of the Parks
Polk City Friends of the Parks is a volunteer-based 501c3 non-profit founded in January 2022. Our mission is to enhance, grow, and promote Polk City’s parks, trails, and greenspaces for the benefit of the entire community.
In 2022, we began with a $10,000 goal in order to purchase and install a shade structure at Leonard Park (aka the Fish Park). Thanks to our wonderful community & sponsors, we were able to reach our goal, and then some! The shade structure will be installed in the Spring of 2023.
Tribute Trees - a new program for Polk City that gives the community a unique way to honor a friend, family member or loved one, while also enhancing your favorite space for all to enjoy. If you'd like to purchase a tree, please reach out!
Save the date for our two big annual events!
- Earth Day 5K - April 22, 2023
- Biketober Fest - beginning of October TBD
