Camp iRead: Read Beyond the Beaten Path
Welcome to the 2022 Polk City Community Library Adult Summer Reading Challenge for those living in and around Polk City, IA.
Visit our Beanstack page beginning May 26 to register. You can log your reading from June 1-July 31. Programs begin the week of June 6. (If you have questions about using Beanstack, try one of our tutorial videos by clicking the "Tutorial" tab.)
Don't forget to join us at 6:00 on Tuesday, July 26 for our Celebration of Summer on the patio at the Jester Park Nature Center.
Thursday Performances: On Thursdays at 10:00 we have a variety of entertainers for all ages. These events will be held in the community room at Luana Saving Bank unless otherwise noted. No registration required.
- Thursday, June 9: Absolute Science Bubble Stations (Library Parking Lot). We are bringing in the profession bubble masters this year!!!!
- Thursday, June 16: Overall Buddies: Children's Songwriter
- Thursday, June 23: Campfire at Poison Oak: Mystery-themed storyteller
- Thursday, June 30: Polk County Conservation
- Thursday, July 7: Cold-Blooded Redhead: REPTILES!!!!
- Thursday, July 14, ISU Insect Zoo (at the Library). Back by popular demand! Drop in anytime between 10:00 and 12:00.
- Thursday, July 21: Absolute Magic: Magic show
